How do you expect me to go to College using popcorn kernels?
If I can't eat the kitties, I'll eat a cookie...a cookie monster!
Hello to all our Internet family! This week Carter has been very busy, so I'll get right to the good stuff.
Yesterday, Carter was "Climbing Mt. Mommy" and I found a new tooth in his mouth. He was about to eat my nose and I thought a saw something new in his mouth. I guess that is why he had a fever last Saturday. So we can officially say we have had TWO weeks of good health! Now he has 5 down and 23 left to go. This teething stuff is rough. I don't understand why little ones have to suffer so with cutting them.
Watson (the monster cat) allowed Carter to take a bite out of his tummy twice on Tuesday night. Watson then decided he had had enough and left the room. Carter didn't understand why I wanted to clean the fur out of his mouth and proceed to pitch a fit. Clearly he gets this characteristic from Mark. :-). I wish I knew how to upload a video on here of Carter with the fur balls. He is totally into watching their every move and gets SO excited when they come near him.
Wednesday morning Carter put the spout of his cup in his mouth. He didn't tip it up enough to drink from it but perhaps he is on the road to actually doing it himself. Carter still hasn't decided he needs to hold his own bottle. Probably because we never make him.
We are transitioning to the big bath tub. Carter was splashing SO much in the kitchen that we had to mop the water up after each bath. He really seems to like the big tub and is very interested in rubber ducks these days.
I feed Carter some small pieces of chicken tonight and we were discussing other things to add to his diet. We were talking about all those dinners you can buy in a jar for infants and I said I don't want him to have all the junk they put in there because he is so pure! We both laughed at such a crazy comment regarding food additives.
Today Carter and I went to church. We did the whole thing and lunch at church too. It was an adventure, but WONDERFUL to see our Good Shepherd family. Unfortunately, I couldn't hear the sermon because we were in the cry room and Carter was asleep at that point. I didn't know how to turn on the sound. I thoroughly enjoyed holding my pure, innocent, snuggle bug for a few precious minutes. It was as if the world stood still while he lie there snoring on my chest. (I will confess the snoring is totally from me.) Everyone was asking about his baptism. I know we should have done it months ago. So stay tuned for details. At this point I'm thinking of combining it and his birthday celebration.
Carter sends get well wishes to G-Daddy and Ruby. We hope you feel better soon!
Stay Warm from kitty catching Carter! atd
