The BIG 4 0

Go ducky go!
You should see these HUGE fish with whiskers!

Slides for adults!

Carter still had corn in his shorts after they were washed!

Great catch dad!
Mark took this photo and caught us just before mommy bit the dust!

Ready, set, go!

Laughing all the way!

Zonckers!

Guess who turned the big 4-0 this weekend? Carter! He is officially 40 months old. I figured this out when I should have been sleeping Friday night! (Insomniac!)
Saturday we went to Honeysuckle Farms. It takes about an hour to get to this pumpkin patch but there is LOTS to do there as you can see. It was 80+ degrees on Saturday. Admiring other's attire took on a whole new meaning! I love that Carter still wants us to go down the big slides with him. It makes the day much more fun. I was going to fall face forward on to the gravel at the end of the slide. Carter would have hit the gravel first. Mark truly was my super hero for catching us and getting the picture!
Last night CW would not sleep. He finally feel asleep about 11 and was in our bed just a few hours later tossing and turning. I got up and went to Carter's bed around 2am thinking that he would go to sleep if I left the room. Carter stared crying when I left the room but was quiet within a few minutes. At 5:30 CW was still awake and had managed to keep Mark up most of the night. Mark came to wake me up because he was leaving for work. I felt of Carter and knew he had a fever...102.7 YIKES. The odd thing is he never said he was didn't feel good. He has been perfectly fine all day, except he isn't eating very well. Go figure...
Here are some new Carter-isms:
  • The moon is gonna have a mouth when he gets bigger.
  • You got some pretty hair. (Referring to the my cardboard character during Chutes and Ladders.)
  • I'm going to Wam-Mart (aka Wal-Mart) to get some sprinkles. Wam-Mart is beside Thomas store. I'm only gonna get blue and green sprinkles because I like those colors best.
  • Hold on I gotta check my list for muffin candles. (CW then walks across the room and pretends to check his Wam-Mart list to see if muffin candles are on there).
  • Telling me how to light a muffin candle: You get the fire on the tweezers and then you light the candle. (I think tweezers are the long liter we use to lite the grill)
  • Carter has a stack of picture cards he likes to play with. He came in the bathroom and told me that Author (the train) had knocked them in the floor and made a mess with the cards. I said well Author better pick them up. Carter replied "Well he doesn't have any hands so I will pick them up."
  • That is how the answer goes. (used to explain things to mommy)
  • Tonight CW told me he wanted spaghetti for dinner. I cooked him rotini and then I cooked spaghetti because rotini is NOT spaghetti! Even though any OTHER day he asked for spaghetti he would have wanted rotini. Amazing what a few tears and guilt can make a mother do!! =-) atd

WELCOME TO THE WORLD BABY TURNER! WE HOPE YOU HAD A SAFE DELIVER IN SOUTH AFRICA!
