Mommy always wants to dance with me!
Look Grand-daddy I hooked a big one! I'm ready to go fishing now!
Baby boy is officially 8 months old now. Carter manages to move a few feet to get what he wants but isn't really crawling. He loves paper and LOVES to rip it then stuff it in his mouth. Tonight Mark sat him in the floor to play and he dove for a stack of papers a few feet away.
When Carter gets bored with his toys, he wants someone to help him stand up. He is pulling up on his knees. This week he has gotten brave and started letting go of our fingers when we are helping him stand. If there is something else close he can hold onto he will let go of us with one hand and grab the other object then transfer the other hand to the object too.
Last but no least he started eating "Cheesy Poofs" which are really Gerber Puffs that disintegrate in your mouth. And drinking apple juice from a sippy cup. At first, he didn’t like the poofs or the cup, but now he is likes to push the poofs around the tray on his highchair and will take several sips of his juice at once.
We went to watch Mark play basketball this week. Carter loved watching all the action, but was a bit freaked out by the whistles at first. He was SO still until the last few minutes of the game. I was really impressed. The rest of his games are at 9:00 p.m so I don't think we are going to make it to those.
I was hoping to brag about a week of everyone in our house being healthy, but Carter spiked a temperature yesterday. He hasn't told me what is going on yet, but my bet is another ear infection. I'm considering just having my paycheck direct deposited to the health care providers these days! Just kidding, but I can't wait for the day he can tell me what hurts and doesn't hurt.
I hear Uncle Joel got a great report at the doctor this week! YEAH! Way to kick cancer in the pants! Keep up the hard fight!
Rolly Polly Giggles from Carter! atd
