21 & Up

I can explain!
Where did the candy go?
Learning how to drive my remote control fire truck Santa brought me!

If I turn the wheel this way the truck should turn too, right?!?

Shew-wee is it Carter or the FIVE month old pumpkin.

Carter can finally get into all those exclusive places he has had his eye on and get that pesky "under 21" off his id. CW turned 21 months old this past week.
Normally I don't write about Carter's illnesses on the blog, but this week was a duzie...pneumonia and strep throat. We had a record high temperature of 103.6. I was able to stay home from work from Tuesday to Sunday to nurture baby boy back to health! I LOVED every minute of it. It was wonderful to be able to take care of my cutie like a mommy should be able to do. I am so grateful for a more flexible job these days.
I left off a couple of Carter's tricks last week when I was writing, plus he learned a few new ones this week. Carter will stick his finger up to his ear and say listen. When everything gets quiet he makes a quaky noise that cracks me up. The cats were playing this week and Carter went over and did his listen routine. I laughed so hard I almost cried!
CW is also fake snoring now. He has plenty of good snorers to immediate, including himself. I will never forget the day our friend Debbie was watching him. She heard a strange noise and couldn't figure out what it was. Debbie followed the noise to Carter's room and discovered it was him! She will have a fun time teasing him about that in about 10 years.
This week Carter counted to 10 with only one prompting. CW also knows alot of the ABC song and LOVES to sing it. He still does TONS of animal sounds but he now says the name of the animal too.
He also knows most of the words to the books we read. I've been stopping at various places in the books and he actually says the next phrase. My personal favorite is from The Little Engine That Could. (Of course it would be a book about a train.) Carter will go get that book and dance around the room saying "ding-dong-ding-dong."
Ding-dong-ding-dong...snore, snore! atd
