3 Days old

I'm guessing the worker who put the little piece of plastic
on this shoe box had NO idea how much fun Carter
and Sherlock would have with it.

I only took one picture all week. Carter is already asleep or I'd go snap about 50 just to get a good one for the blog. I decided to post my first favorite picture of Carter...thus the 3 day old photo above.

I saw a friend today and she told me she checks the blog every Monday. I had no idea so many people stop by DoddAdventures every week. I should put a counter on the blog to see how many hits we get. I doubt the number would be very accurate because of the hundreds of times grandparents and I drop by each week just to sneak a glance at CW.

This week Carter learned how to walk up the stairs using the spindles for handrails. One morning my back was sore and I figured it was hiking 26# of loving up the stairs 15 times a day to change his diaper. Seriously on Friday he had SEVEN dirty diapers. I think someone gave him some colon-cleanse or something.

Last night Carter sat on his potty chair for the very first time. Usually when I ask Carter if he wants to sit on his potty he says no very thoughtfully then goes over and lifts the lid and puts is hand in the bowl...GROSS. I guess that is better than putting his hand in the toilet because the potty chair has never been used.

The Carter says "no" to every question he is asked. I posed this to my sis this week "how does CW know when I'm asking him a question." Amy has tons of education background and informed me it was the inflection in my voice. With this in mind, I decided to work on manners. Which lead to me working on my manners. I noticed that I never said please or thank you to Carter when I asked him something. Ironically enough when I started saying please and thank you he slowed down on the use of "NO." I'm kind of frightened when he out-smarts me like that!
