Yummy not matter how you eat it!
It has been a fun Memorial Day weekend at the Dodd house. We went to buy some flowers to plant in the yard and Carter was SO patient with us. He sat in the cart at Home Depot for over an hour, then fell asleep on the way home. What more could two parents ask for??
Tonight I put him in his crib will I took a quick shower. I keep peeking in on him and he was just happy as could be talking away to himself. Carter has his moments as all toddlers do, but he is rather content as long as he has a train to lug around.
Tomorrow Carter moves to the Early Preschool class at school. Carter and I had a LONG talk tonight about the change. (I think I'm more nervous than he is.) Ms. Hammond (his current 'teacher') has taken care of him longer than anyone else. I'm sure he will adjust to the new classroom but not without some tears over leaving Hammond. When I told him that Ms. Hammond wouldn't be at school tomorrow he puckered up. I smoothed it over by telling him several of his friends are moving to the new class too. Finally at the end of the talk he said "ok" just like he really understood what I was saying to him. Maybe he had not clue but he did know he wanted to be done talking and back to playing and that saying ok would make mommy be quiet!
My favorite new phrases this week relate to hand washing; paper dry (paper towel), pull ne sid (pull one side of the towel to get it off the rack), & dry, dry, dry. We are still trying to figure out where he learned "doggie bite you." We were at the grocery this week and I picked Carter up and said "mommy beat you" (he was being a little stubborn and I was cranky). He knew I was only playing because I was tickling him as I said it. He yells out "NO MOMMY EAT YOU!" good thing the beat sounded like eat or I'd be in jail tonight instead of listening to CW snore! atd
