Pumpkin' Dunking

Carter couldn't wait to get in the pool for swim class!
Holding on tight to daddy.

Not loving the water.
This isn't so bad.

STRONG man holding onto the wall like a leech!

I'm really not convience no matter how sweet you sound or smile!

Yeah, I don't like that!
Dunking a child under water as a method of learning to swim is not something I intented to support. Guess I should have asked more questions about the philospy before I signed Carter up for the class. I'm pretty sure he will master getting out of the pool first thing next week. At least I'm not as worried about him going to the neighbors pool and jumping in. Now he knows he doesn't want to do that!
It really wasn't that bad. He loved floating around in the water and kicking after a few mintues. There was less crying each time he "fell" into the pool, and Carter said he wanted to go back to swim class several times later that day.
After the class Mark asked me why there were mommy's in the "daddy and me" swim class. Hum, dear I'm really not sure. Maybe they didn't get the memo? atd
