Hot Time in the City!

too much for words! i lOvE this picture!
A lesson from Elijah...
A lesson from Emma...
and he's off to the big wheel races!

Silly Monkeys at the Parthenon in Nashville.
We had SO much fun when the Gray's came to visit a few weeks ago. It was hot and nasty outside but we found plenty to keep us busy. Our adventures began at Sonic. It came a down pour to remember while we were there. We were all drenched and laughing so hard our belly's hurt. That is one lunch date none of us will ever forget!
Next it was off to Centennial Park in Nashville. After 15 years in middle Tennessee we figured we should find out why there is a replica of the Parthenon in Nashville. We where just in time for "story time." In the middle of the story CW decides he has to go potty and informed the entire group assembled to hear the story. As a side note Carter is still carrying his "piece of gold" the story teller gave him around 3 weeks later.
Next we headed down town to check out some the fine Dodd craftsmanship at historical places. We ended up in an ice cream shoppe...YUMMY. Some of us went home for a nap and some of the brave souls strolled to the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge. After some R&R we chowed down on Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner (minus the beans...I may never live that one down).
Sunday was a little more slow paced, but fun never the less. Papa and Grandma were wonderful host as always and Carter asked to go to Grandma's house everyday the next week. I think he thinks that Emma and Elijah live there. I'm sure if it were up the Emma, Elijah and Carter they'd probably all like to camp out in Mt. Juliet without their parents. I'm just not so sure the parents would want to miss out on the fun these three have when they are together! atd
