Giving

Mark and I were talking and noticed Carter was being very quiet in the other room. We found him laying in the kitchen floor playing "the telephone with games on it."

We had a picnic on Saturday afternoon at home. I threw the left food in the yard. Later Carter when over and picked up a piece of a tortilla from the grass and ate it. YUCK. Today he ate off some other kids plate and drank from their up at a birthday party. DOUBLE YUCK!

CW skinned up his knee on the sidewalk. I was surprised that he did not even seem to notice he was hurt until I made a big deal about it. Then of course he milked it for all the band aides I'd give him.

Carter learned a very hard lesson about giving this week. We bought gifts for Levi and Bryan's birthdays. He was such a good little sport about picking out something he thought they would like and understanding that he didn't get anything because it wasn't his birthday.
