Pirate Monkeys

No pictures this week. I'm still mourning the death of my camera!

Carter has been watching an episode of Backyardagins about pirates alot lately. Today he had on a shirt with a monkey wearing a pirate hat. He informed us that he was not Carter today. He was "Monkey Pirate." This went on all morning. We went outside on a pirate adventure this afternoon. Mark made a treasure hunt map, put an "X" on the blacktop with sidewalk chalk, and put a "log" to cross the mud pit. We road on Carter's Pirate Ship (aka slide). Mark was in the crow's nest watching out for other ships, Carter drove, and I hung out on deck. Carter gave us all pirate names from the Backyardagins. Carter was Captain Tyrone, Mark was Captain Pablo, and I was Captain Red Boots. It was a fun 30 minutes that I hope he never forgets.

CW had been wanting to take his toy saxophone to church for weeks so he could play during the music. Today we finally gave in. We couldn't even hear him because it was so loud in there. A few minutes into the first song we noticed he put the saxophone away. He told us the song was too long. (The saxophone is not real. It was a toy in a Wendy's kid's meal.)

We went to another birthday party for a friend from school this weekend. This one was at Peek-A-Boo Playtown. Carter waited so patiently while his friends "fixed" a Cozy Coupe for him to drive. The boys had a skill saw and chain saw "fixing" the broken car. It was really hilarious to watch them all play together without their preschool teachers to keep the peace.

Carter and I went to see Gnomeo & Juliet after the party. This time the movie was MUCH cheaper. I skipped the 3D version, the guy let Carter in for free & I only bought one box of candy. This time it was $7.50 for admission & $9.75 for candy & an Icee for a total of $17.25. Much better than the last time when I spent over 30 bucks for the two of us!

One of his friends from school (Kenton) at the movie too. Kenton loves trains and Racy Car as much as CW. I'm really surprised they aren't inseparable...but then again opposites attract right? atd
