Confessions of a 3 year old

Winter is taking its toll... till daddy turns on the 80's music
and when mommy gives me ice cream!

Saturday Carter and I went to see a play of Good Night Moon. The play was about 45 minutes long and very cute. Carter really liked the part where the bunny is talking on the phone. The animal on the other end of the land kept growling. He was laughing hysterically. That is the only part of the play that he remembered to tell any one about.

After the play we went to the zoo with some friends. We stayed at the zoo for over 4 hours. On the way home Carter confessed that he was REALLY tired. I managed to keep him talking until we got home. He had a MAJOR melt down because I put cheese on his pizza for dinner. I tried hard not to laugh but it was obvious that he was exhausted! He ate most of cheese-less pizza for dinner and fell FAST asleep before 8.

On Sunday Carter went to "little church" for the second week in a row without a fuss. Later he wanted to fly kites. Carter's kite had sea creatures on it. He started calling it his Sea World kite. (I'm not sure how he knows about Sea World.) We finally got the kite very high into the air. Carter was holding the string & the wind ripped it out of his hands. It sailed so far across the horizon that we couldn't see it any more. I thought for sure it was going to get stuck in the trees near hour house which would NOT have been good. Every time we went outside I knew he would have he was issues with seeing it stuck in a tree. I quickly told Carter that he did such a great thing by "sharing" his kite with another boy. At first he bought my story. After about 30 seconds he had HUGE tears rolling down his face. He said he didn't want to share his kite. I caved and told him we could go get another kite. I asked him what kind of kite he wanted. He said "racy car" (aka Lightening McQueen). There was actually 1 Racy Car kite at Target. I think I was more excited than Carter about finding exactly what he wanted. The new kite has a super long tail. We had the best time flying the kite and played outside for several hours.

I even convinced Carter to helped me wash my car. He used the sponge to wash my backside several times and then put rocks under the sponge while rubbing on the car. He also tried cleaning the car with his hands instead of the sponge. The car looked like it was washed by the 3 year old and his pregnant mother. It came a monsoon on Monday so I no longer really cared about the wash job. =-)

Friday Carter bit one of best friends TWICE. They were playing like they were eating each other. Needless to say I'm sure his friend's parents were not amused. He has also learned to stick his tongue out and gotten excellent at back talking over the past few weeks. Perhaps my sweet little boy will return after spending a great deal of time in trouble over the past week?? atd
