He ate the shells. Then the beans.
And had a green tongue afterward.
There was a gentleman there making sure all the trains were working properly. We told Carter that guy was the conductor. CW decided he wanted to be a conductor when he grows up so that he can put whatever cars he wants behind the engines. We saw an advertisement for the CHeekwood train display that had Percy pulling two troublesome trucks. Percy was actually pulling two tanker cars at the exhibit. Carter was in a bit of a tizzy over the inconsistency of the marketing versus the actual product. (oh how much he has to learn about marketing!)
There was a nice lady volunteer passing out stickers to all the children. The stickers were round with tracks on them. Carter wanted to know why there were not any trains pictured on the stickers. During his career decision speech he added that he wanted be the conductor so he could pass out stickers to children AND that his stickers would have pictures of his favorite trains on them.
I'm pretty excited that he wants to be a conductor this week. Last week he told me he wanted to be Thomas when he grew up. Then seconds later asked me who he was going to turn into a train. Pretty cool that he got the concept of "turning into a train." However I was a little disappointed that he couldn't get a degree in that at WKU!
We started a count down to Carter's birthday this weekend. Several of his friends have already turned 4, so I thought a count down might help him understand how close he is to his birthday. After CW's birthday count down I'm hoping he will want to do a count down to Daddy's birthday (aka baby's due date)!
Baby Dodd seems to be doing well. Kicking, punching, and rolling around at all hours of the night to keep his mommy awake. Occasionally I'm reach over and get Mark's hand and put it on my stomach to settle the little stinker down so I can sleep.
Being pregnant is much different this time around. Sleeping whenever I want isn't really an option this time. I weigh alot more this time so I'm already pretty uncomfortable at just 22 weeks. I was walking 3 miles a day at this point with Carter. Now I do good to walk 1/2 mile before calling it quits!
I was having one of those emotional "cry and let it all out" fits last night and told Mark it was going to be a long 18 weeks if I already have a backache, indigestion, and lack of energy. Mark has been wonderful at helping me with all sorts of stuff like laundry, CW's bath, grocery shopping, ect. And of course he makes me laugh all the time, points out the bright spots and keeps my head on level!
Poor baby still doesn't have a name. Mark keeps reminding me that CW didn't get an official name until he was about 18 hours old. Carter is talking more about the baby and decided he would like to buy his baby brother a Thomas the Train. He also informed me that he was going to give his stroller to the baby too. Progress comes slowly I guess.
