All dressed up but Mommy won't leave the house with me!

Mostly because I scream in the car, just like my brother did.

3 months old and full of smiles...sometimes =-)

AJ took his first snooze in his crib on November 19th @ 2.5 months old.
He slept for about 2.5 hours in his crib, but I had to pick him up every 30 minutes and rock him back to sleep.

Carter saw AJ sleeping in his old room and told us that he wanted to move back to his old room. We had good intentions of painting and decorating Carter's new room before AJ was born but it hadn't happened yet. Mark took Carter to pick out some paint. He chose bright green and bright blue. They came home with a grayish-blue.

Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday of the year, but it was pretty stressful this year. AJ just isn't a happy camper unless he his at home, and sometimes he isn't a happy camper there either. The only place AJ goes is to take Carter to school & pick Carter up from school. Maybe he is mad because we never take him anywhere??

During Thanksgiving weekend we went to Grandma & Papa's on Thursday, Aunt Verna & Grandma came to visit on Saturday, & we traveled to Great Granny Turner's on Sunday. Everyone got to see AJ's cranky side. I did my Black Friday shopping from home which was actually much nicer than being in the stores.

AJ turned 3 months old this past week. His hands are now open most of the time. He has out grown all his 3 months clothes. He smiles alot and makes this funny yelling sound before he sneezes. Not much in the laughing department but I know it is coming. My favorite sound is the "IGOOO" sounds like of like 'I'm good' to his mama's ears.

Carter has his first basketball game today. He refused to go on the court with his team. I told him if he would do what his coach asked for an hour I would let him pick something out of the vending machine. My bribe worked like a charm and he ran out on the court. The highlight of the day was when one of CW's teammates threw him the ball and it hit him in the head, because CW wasn't paying attention and had his hands in his shirt.

Just as we should have been leaving to go to the game AJ spit-up all over me. I was rushing around trying to change clothes and get out the door. Carter said something to me and I asked him to repeat it because I couldn't hear him over the dryer. He was standing at the door and turned to me and said, "I'm not going to keep going over this with you!" and slammed the door behind him. I was laughing so hard (on the inside) that I did not bother to have the "that is not how you talk to your mother conversation." Then in the car he said, "How many times do I have to say this, no one is listening to me!" Sassy, sassy, sassy 4 year old stinker!

I have never been very big on decorating for Christmas, but Monday Carter asked me why our house / lawn wasn't decorated for Christmas. (Nothing like a 4 year old guilt to make you get your spirit on!). CW said he wanted to decorate the lawn with reindeer and jack-o-lanterns. I came home and cleaned up the living room to get ready to put up the Christmas tree. It only took till Saturday night to get the ornaments on the tree.

When AJ came home from the hospital Carter stopped playing with his toys. We didn't understand it and brought in some different toys. The living room was jammed with toys and none of the them seem to hold his attention for more than a few minutes. I knew some of the toys needed to be stored to make room for the Christmas tree. On Monday while Carter was at school I packed away all his train tracks. It is Saturday and he hasn't asked where they are yet. Putting away his wooden tracks made me sad. I literally thought my heart would break as I carried them out to the bonus room. Before we know it he will only want cash for Christmas and the keys to the car every Saturday night! (I brought in a few infant toys for AJ and Carter wanted to play with those of course!)

I had to really probe Carter to get him to tell me what he wants from Santa. Evidently he only needs to tell Santa not mommy. He listed a bouncy ball, a kitchen with a pan so he could flip pancakes, a new train track layout, & a television for his room. "Oh wait I need two televisions. One for Daddy's room & one for my room so I can watch whatever is on downstairs when I'm upstairs in my room!" Daddy suggested we just hang the television from the ceiling so CW could just watch it while he sleeps and of course CW thinks that is a GRAND idea.
