Lummpy Bump @ 32 weeks

I was trying to catch our little guy punching me on the video camera one night this week and I noticed that my belly looked a little uneven. I didn't mention this to anyone because I figured they tell me I was nuts. Well a sneak peek ultrasound on Friday confirmed the loop-sided-ness. Half-pint is sitting sideways with his head nestled against my rib cage! So his torso is all poked out on my right side.

Carter flipped head down by 29 weeks and Baby Fifty Ouchy was head down 4 weeks ago. I think I know when he turned because it felt VERY strange. However I can't remember what I was doing at the time or how many weeks ago it was. But I do remember a very strange rumble and wondered what in the world he was doing when it happened.

He basically has 4 weeks to flip and there are several strange things one can do to encourage a flip. Including put a hot cigar blunt on your pinkie toe, the use of an ironing board, putting an ice pack on his head, chiropractic adjustment, some medical procedures and many others. I'm thinking I'll just do a few of the non-invasive things and let the chips fall where they may. A planned deliver sounds very attractive on one hand. However, there is that nagging thought in the back of my head that it probably isn't what is best for me or baby.

Other news from the ultrasound included that our little guy has a head of hair. I asked them to check out the top of his head because I've been eating alot of Tums. Also Baby Dodd is HUGE with an estimated weight of 5#13oz and measuring a full 3 weeks ahead of his growth schedule.

I started reconsidering Andrew today. Perhaps it is too common and there will be 50 of them in his class at school. However, it is a classic and never goes out of style. Carter is already calling him Andrew and Mark is really over my indecision. So who knows what this little guys name is going to be. Maybe I'll call some schools tomorrow and ask how many Andrew's are enrolled!

I also got some clothes ready for little man this weekend, and put a few clothes in the hospital bag for him. At least he won't be "naken" (as CW says) on the way home & presentable for visitors.

I have 2 weeks of full time work left and then I'll only be working two days a week! Today is exactly 50 days from the due date of September 5th. Which is not only Mark & Lisa's birthday also their Great Grandma Dodd's birthday.
