Royal Ball

Carter's jeans from last winter. Every pair had a blow-out in the right knee.

Carter wanted to be a black knight for his royal ball.


Carter was having a great time at the dance before mommy and daddy showed up...

then Mr. Pouty Pants came out.

For over two weeks Carter's class has been very excited about the Royal Ball. This was Carter's first homemade costume. I think it was adorable and he LOVED it.

He was all smiles and doing the chicken dance until he saw us. Then he started pouting because Chloe would not dance with him. Next came the royal feast of sliced bread, cheese, fruit, and sparking juice. Carter did an excellent job helping pass out the plates for the royal feast and had fun using a cow cookie cutter to make shapes from the bread and cheese. He made his usually yucky face when he tasted the sparkling juice. Carbonation does not agree with him which means he has NO interest in soda =-).

We spent this weekend swimming and playing at home. Our house is a HUGE mess of toys at the moment but I think we all enjoyed the extra rest.
