Getting Closer!

Can somebody get this monkey OFF my back?
What are you laughing at? This is the latest style! Giggles and grins!
Up, up, up on those feet!
You think the ladies will like this dad?
I am NOT going out dress like this!
Don't mess with me until after my banana! Weekends are for spoiling.
Ready for the big leagues.
I want my shot at the ball.
(The girl in front is my niece Hope.
This was her first soccer game.
She was so cute chasing the ball!)

Carter got some new shoes today. Grandma meet us at the mall and Carter showed off by walking a few steps for her. Carter thought Grandma was the bomb because she let him ride one of those toys you put quarters in that make a small motion. Carter and Grandma decided on a Bob the Builder ride. I think they both really enjoyed it. Carter be-booped to the music while the ride was moving. Can you believe those things cost 75 cents? I think they were only 15 cents when I was a kid.
Mark has really been working with Carter this week to get him to walk more. Wednesday night he took several steps at once. I'm not sure who was more excited...Mark, Carter, or me. Now he will walk as long as someone is are holding one hand. When he ventures out on his own he hold both arms out. I call it the Frankenstein dance. I think CW says he is enjoying on his feet instead of his knees.
Carter received his kid harness as a birthday gift. He really LOVED to wear it around the house. He kept it on for over an hour before he decided he wanted to take it off to play with it. I'm sure he will change his affections for it once the leash part is attached.
Smooches and dribbles from Carter Wade!
