Don't judge me by my professional credentials!

Everyone keeps telling me these days of childhood laughter go by so fast. I will be the first to admit that my to-do list often outranks spending time playing with Carter. Some days it feels like the extent of my interactions consist of things Carter does not enjoy; diaper changes, changing clothes, washing behind the ears, going to sleep, etc.
I often wonder at the end of the day, how much less stressed I'd be about life if I spent as much time laughing with Carter as Mark does. All these reflections were particularly on my mind yesterday for some reason. Today I spent more time with Carter than I have in a long time. It was fun to be silly with my munchkin and interact with him during play time. I am so thankful for grandparent visits because I actually stop household stuff and "enjoy the sweet stuff."
CW is still train crazy this week. He amazed me yesterday when we were in the car. All the sudden he said "pizza" out of the blue. Today he looked at something on the wall and said "painting." Guess I'd better perk up my ears and censor my speech. I never know what the next new word will be. Toot-toot! atd
