to tell Mark and I (who were sitting at the
kitchen table having dinner), "I'm a movie star!"

Over the past week, Carter has gone head over heels for trains. Sunday was a HUGE day for our little train nut. Daddy and Papa took him to a train show at the convention center. After a short nap, Carter's friend Shae came over to loan Cater some trains. Shae's mommy probably brought over 50 plus trains. Needless to say Carter had a hard time leaving his shiny new engines and going to bed tonight.
Sleeping with trains is not an easy task mind you. They clink and keep little hands busy so that little boys don't fall asleep. Mark bought Carter a train pillow in hopes that he would go to bed with an engine and coal car in his hands, however this had not worked yet. Currently, Cater is sleeping with an engine in one hand and a coal car in the other while his leg is on his train pillow.
Speaking of sleeping. Carter's teachers refer to him as their "sweet boy." Mostly because he never gets in trouble and is usually pretty easy to deal with. On Friday, Mr. Sweet boy, was talking during nap time! So much so that he had to be separated from his little friend, Parker. The teachers and I just had a good laugh about it. The best laugh was when Carter was suppose to be going to sleep on Friday night he was laying in his crib very softly calling "Parker, Parker" followed by, "lay down" in a louder voice. He was even using his teachers' accent when he said, "lay down."
I continue to be amazed at how much CW can eat. Let me preface this with the fact that he refused food from 10:30am until 6ish pm because he was too busy playing with trains. Saturday night he ate 2 bowls of green beans, a container of yogurt, some stuffing, a cereal bar, a banana, a little bowl of chili, a few crackers, and an oreo. (In that order.) I thought for sure he would explode. I've pretty much stopped putting him on the changing table because he is too long for it and too heavy to hoist up there. Guess you got to put all those calories somewhere.
New words this week include: play, tracks, green beans, and the phrase 'hot mess.' Daddy wants to say a huge thank you to mommy's friends at MPHD for teaching her what a 'hot mess' is!
Tonight as I was putting Cater to bed he kept saying something that I could not understand and pointing to his dresser. I just kept telling him it was time to go to night-night. Then he pushes up the sleeves on his pj's and says 'hot.' Still pointing and telling me something I could not understand. Next he starts to unzip his pj's. After about 15 minutes I realized he was telling me he wanted his thinner pj's without feet which he had seen me put on top of his dresser. Sometimes I wonder why Cater keeps coming home with such silly parents. Raising parents (me in particular) must be pretty difficult for a 20 month old!
Carter is snoring away and probably dreaming of coal and engines! atd

Too cute! I hate the boys aren't in school together. I feel certain they would be best buds.
