Mommy's Baby

Papa Jerry sure knows how to anchor towers!
Snickers for dinner at the Turners!

Have tent, will travel!

Two of a kind...kinda.

The renovations that we started in September are very near completion!
Amy and Levi made an unexpected trip down south last weekend. It was great to get to spend some time with them even if the circumstances were less than ideal. Thankfully, Ms. Olive & Jimmy (Nana Ruby's mom & brother-in-law) are both feeling better.
We were late getting to church today, as usual. As soon as we got seated Carter decided to start singing his ABC's LOUD and it was not time to sing. Eventually CW and Mark had to leave church to have a talk. Upon their return Carter was a peach. After church we went to Monkey Joe's and had a great time jumping, rolling, and climbing. Carter was EXHAUSTED when we left, and took a 3 hour nap.
A 3 hour afternoon nap on was a guarantee before the last time change. That was also about the same time he moved to a big boy bed. He would sleep till 10am most days in his crib. Those days are gone too. Now he wonders into our room in the middle of the night and mommy becomes his pillow/trampoline until the sun rises.
This week we tried playing CandyLand. I LOVED this game when I was a kid, but Mark seems to win EVERY time. Carter just likes to play with the cards and remove the game pieces from the board. Oh well the box does say 3 & up!
This week Carter started saying he wants to be mommy's baby. I'm really not sure where he got the idea but I'm not minding it at all. CW comes and crawls up in my lap and snuggles with me while he is being "mommy's baby." It probably won't last long so I'm soaking it all up while I can. atd
