Carnival

Carter is a big fan of Mickey Mouse. They have an episode where they hold a carnival to collect corn to feed chickens. Each time we see that show he says, "I want to go to a carnival like that." Last Friday when we were on our way to the doctor's office he saw a carnival in the parking lot of a local mall. This Friday we went by it again when we were on our way to meet Grandma and Papa for dinner. After dinner Grandma came to the Carnival with us. Carter quickly decided he wanted to ride a roller coaster instead of the Ferris wheel. (BTW the roller coaster was a train of course!) CW and daddy rode the roller coaster twice. Next Grandma and Carter rode the Ferris Wheel. Then it started getting really dark and stormy looking so we left before we broke the bank. The rides were $3/person per ride. That 6 bucks per ride! It was well worth it because CW loved every minute of it. I think a trip to Dollywood or Beech Bend might be in order.

I certainly had my reservations about the safety of the rides, but I figured that people had been riding for a week without incident so I was willing to take a gamble to see him giggle for a few minutes.

Saturday was the annual Spring Fling at day care. Carter was most intrigued by 1. the cupcakes and 2. kiddie-pool full of sand, shovels and Easter eggs. He refused to do the bouncy things, Fun Bus, or pony rides. Let's just say it was an inexpensive day at the Spring Fling!

This week CW is calling the baby "50-owie." He says that is what Felipe on Handy Manny says when the phone rings. (This post is making me realize that like CW watches too much television!)

Carter picked out a stuffed Pluto at Wal-Mart today for baby brother. (Carter calls him "Blue Dog" instead of Pluto. The two names kind of sound the same.) CW is sleeping with Pluto until baby brother arrives so that Pluto will smell like Carter. I told Carter that baby brother would think Carter is really funny and like to watch him act silly. He even asked when baby brother would be here twice today. 112 days till D-day! =-) atd
