Dodd's Galore

Papa, Bill, DeDe, Juanita, & Mary

The Dodd Brothers & Sisters
1st Cousins

2nd Cousins

The WHOLE family
Our little Dodd Family

Every two years Papa's family has a family reunion. This year the festivities were held near Indianapolis at Uncle Bill's & Carol's house in Elwood. There was a "cowboy" theme along with sack races, stick horse races, water balloons and lots of laughs. We stayed with Brandon & Cindy and visited Paul & Cheryl's house for some additional fun too. Of course there was plenty of yummy food thanks to Chef Paul and all his helpers.

Carter had a blast playing with all his cousins he never new he had. Mark improved his corn hole game skills I spent alot of time inside with my feet up. I was the "unofficial" cool off zone host.

Our car broke down at mile marker 22 in Indiana on the way home. It certainly what we had "planned" but God was certainly in the storm. We were in the comforts of a rest stop instead of on side of the road! (Snacks, potty, & some what cool air.) There were so many people that helped us! Papa and Grandma back tracked an hour to give us a ride home. Gary & Lisa stopped to help us too. We got home safe and sound about 10p.m.

Papa Jerry & Nana Ruby drove 600 miles one way to tow the car to Papa Jerry's shop. It goes without saying that Papa Jerry and his crew at Jerry's Tran-tran-mimi-seal has it up and running again in no time. Papa Jerry & Nana Ruby even brought the car back to us once it was fixed. Even though the ordeal was not ideal at least there were plenty of "handy helpers" on our speed dial. Thanks to God and a MILLION thank yous to everyone that helped us out! atd
