Man has it been a productive week for Carter. Last week Carter's bottom two molars erupted. His gums have been so swollen since March that you could see them from six feet away. I know he his glad that is over but his eye teeth are already giving him fits. I have a mental count down of how many teeth we have left to go...10. Poor baby has taken more pain medicine for teething in his short life than I have in the last 20 years!
Carter has been going up the steps for some time. This week he made is trip a little shorter by not using his knees. Just hands then feet. Kind of cool that he is getting so much more adapt at little things. He is also standing by himself alot now. We went to Wal-Greens and he walked from the front door to the pharmacy in the back without stopping. Of course I had to hold his hand. But that is fine with me. I like to hold my half-pint's hand!
Carter started using his sign language this week! This was a huge feat. We started working with him when he was nine months old and finally Wednesday morning his said juice and signed eat at the same time. Now he is very consistent with the signs for eat and all gone (aka done eating). I'm sure more will follow. His vocabulary is growing every day. His favorite new word is light, and he loves to point them out also. This week Carter started saying night-night every time he waves bye. Speaking of talking and pointing. Carter loves to find horses and fish. He will say the word and point to them. I guess I need to get him some new books because he knows what is on every page of the ones he has. Especially his lift the flap books.
Friday my uncle Joel passed away. We will miss him very much and our thoughts are with aunt Hilda and everyone who knew and loved jolly uncle Joel.
