Thanksgiving

We had the best holiday weekend! For the past several years I have declared that Thanksgiving was my favorite holiday. This holiday has the lowest expectations of all holidays! If the turkey and dressing are good then everyone is happy. Today I discovered another reason to LOVE Thanksgiving. It is always on Thursday so a 4 day weekend is a given. We simply had the best day at mom's, dad's and The Dodd's. Everything was low key and the food was YUMMY. Since we had FOUR days we even got to stay home on Saturday and be lAzY!

Over the past 11 days Carter has come up with some funny Carter-isms.

• You aren't making good decisions Mommy! Carter used this line on me for the first time when I was trying to give him his medicine.
• Ms. Fox knows everything just like Cat In the Hat.
• When I grow up I want to be a teacher. What kind of teacher? A preschool teacher! What will be your favorite part of being a preschool teacher? Doing the calendar.
• Great Granny Turner gave Carter a pet taxi from a Sonic Kids Meal. He puts his pet 'Emo (aka Nemo) in there. According to Carter, 'Emo likes to sleep and is very quiet. Carter went to sleep holding 'Emo tonight while his pet taxi was safely on the dresser near by. Tomorrow Carter wants to take 'Emo to school in this carrier. [fyi 'Emo is imaginary?]

I'm sure I'll think of 50 more when I got lay down. So check back next week to see what else our Smarty Pants comes up with. =-) atd
